DESCRIPTION
Anterolateral locking plate. Fixation with the 3.5 mm anterolateral distal tibial LCP follows principles similar to conventional plate fixation.
Locking screws create a fixed-angle construct while using standard AO plating techniques.
Locking capability is important in fixed-angle constructs for osteopenic or multifragmentary fractures where screw purchase is compromised.
Rather than relying on compression between the plate and bone to resist loading, these screws act as multiple small fixed-angle constructs.
Made of titanium.
