Truss reverse shoulder system
Reverse design. Modular adjustment.
Total shoulder prosthesis that reverses the articular surfaces so that the deltoid helps to elevate the arm when the rotator cuff is deficient. Its modular design allows the construct to be adapted to each patient's anatomy.
Features
01 · Deltoid function
Unlike the anatomical configuration, it shifts the centre of rotation medially and distally to make use of the deltoid's elevating action.
02 · Intraoperative adjustment
Combining the components allows metaphyseal filling, lateralisation and soft-tissue tension to be adjusted.
03 · Interface for bone integration
Trabecular titanium metaglene and a stem with a proximal porous coating to promote bone integration and fixation.
04 · Trial-based selection
Trial components allow the sizes to be defined before the definitive implants are placed.
Applications
Shoulder reconstruction when the joint cannot be restored anatomically, in cases of rotator cuff deficiency, as assessed by the surgeon.
